The Butterfly Story...

A wise old man saw a cocoon in his garden. After a few days he noticed a small
opening in the cocoon. He stopped watched as a butterfly struggled to force its body through the little opening. It then stopped and the butterfly couldn't come out any further.

The man decided to help it out a bit and opened the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly came out easily.
But he noticed that it had a swollen body and tiny wings and could not fly. The man took the butterfly inside and continued to watch it, hoping that the wings would enlarge and expand so that the butterfly would be able to fly.

But the butterfly eventually died and was never able to fly.

What the man had actually done was prevent the butterfly from pushing its way
out of the tiny hole that would have enabled its body and wings to fly as it came out of the cocoon.
