hehehe.. not really... but seeing them for the first time, they sure did look like an angry invading army out to take over the island, if not the world...

it's a beautiful, beautiful sight alright... but one could hardly stand the stench of raw sewage in this area... quite a few pipes from nearby households and neighborhoods can be seen emptying into the lagoon... a lot of this SHIT, literally, is then washed back on to the beach...

PHOTOS - the aftermath of today's accident...

it was supposed to be a quick, uneventful trip from Hithadhoo to Maradhoo to pay some bills when we came across this... just missed the accident by minutes, but got these pics of the bridge, the car and what's left of the motorbike... i post these not for our amusement, but for you and for myself to learn a lesson...
